The forest sets the pace here
Cima del Cielo sits fifteen minutes from the town of Pinal de Amoles, on a ridge of the Sierra Gorda surrounded by pines. Nine tents, each set far from the next, so what you hear at night is the forest and nothing else.
You get a complete private bathroom, hot water at any hour and a terrace facing the trees. What you will not get is a power outlet: there is a charging point in the common dining area, and honestly most guests forget their phone by the second hour.

Coffee in clay, mist in the pines
Your stay includes breakfast, made with fresh ingredients and the best of the region: chilaquiles, eggs the way you like them, fruit, sweet bread and coffee you will want a second cup of. Served in the common dining room, facing the forest.
For lunch and dinner there is a restaurant on site — or use the grills and the fire-pit kitchen and cook your own under the stars.

Your dog is family too
Pets are welcome at Cima del Cielo: forest to run through, terraces to nap on and trails to share. We only ask that you keep them with you and pick up after them — Cimo, the little fox who looks after the place, will thank you.

It is a forest area and the temperature drops a lot at night. These four things make all the difference.

Frequently asked questions
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in from 3:00 pm, check-out at 12:00 noon. If you arrive earlier we can keep your luggage while your tent is prepared.
Is there really no electricity?
Not inside the tents — the conditions of the site do not allow it. There is lighting and a charging point in the common dining area, and every tent has lanterns.
Is there phone signal or Wi-Fi?
Signal is intermittent and there is no Wi-Fi in the tents. It is part of the experience — let whoever needs to know before you set off.
Do you allow pets?
Yes. Bring a leash, their bed and bags to pick up after them, and let us know when you book so we assign the right tent.
Is breakfast included? What about other meals?
Breakfast is included with every stay. For lunch and dinner you can order at the restaurant, use the grills or cook over the fire pit.
How do I get there — do I need a 4x4?
No. We are fifteen minutes from the town of Pinal de Amoles on a signposted dirt road that any car can handle — just take the last stretch slowly and arrive before dark if you can.
11 · Getting here
Pinal de Amoles, Sierra Gorda
Fifteen minutes from the town centre of Pinal de Amoles, Querétaro, along a signposted dirt road off Federal Highway 120 (San Juan del Río – Jalpan de Serra) at km 131. Any car can make it; drive the last stretch slowly.
